I recommend that you buy one of ETS's books of actual GRE tests and a Princeton Review Cracking the GRE book. Better yet, find these in the library or used book store. If your math skills are on the low side, get the ARCO SAT Math Workbook. You can buy some of these directly at our site. See the Bookstore link at the end of the Tour. If you can afford it, get the ETS PowerPrep software to practice the CAT test. Also see our Links page for some free Web based help.
If you need to make some significant improvement, you should definitley allow yourself 6 to 8 months, since you will have to discover many of the secrets of the test for yourself. If it doesn't work too well, you might have to wait a year and try to save the money to get help. Look for the hidden patterns of the test!
