That sounds about right.
Taking the test up to a month before your deadline is safe.
Sometimes you can push it even closer if they will accept the unofficial
score which you get as soon as you finish the test. Ask the program
you are applying to if they will accept it.
It can often be helpful to push the test as late as possible
to give yourself extra study time.
